Ever since I can remember I have always wanted to be free,
To roam the gorge and mountain tops with no-one chasing me,
I've longed to travel to a place that nature holds to heart,
And live a life of freedom that no-one can tear apart.

To run along the beaches and leave hoof prints in the sand,
And feel the water splashing, oh now wouldn't that be grand,
To munch the fresh new pasture as it breaks through natures soil,
Or even have my ears scratched by a friend forever loyal.

But time is running out and I feel darkness has awoke,
To cover all the hope and all the dreams of which I've spoke,
I feel him walk toward me with that needle in his hand,
I close my eyes forever, Leaving hoof prints in the sand.
Buck 1964 - 1995
Buck was born and raised on the Lazy F. He was Marvin's horse and Marvin broke him and rode him for years. He was a very gentle and kind horse and anybody could ride him even though he was a stallion. This picture was taken about one month before he lay down and departed to a better place. He not only leaves hoof prints in the sand, he left a few on our hearts also.
Lightening  1979 - 1997
Lightening was one of the best broodmares Marvin owned. She was a gaited mare and produced beautiful foals. When it came time to wean one of her foals, you could pull it for 24 hours and then put it back with the mare and she would not let it nurse. She knew the routine. In 1997 she gave us Trixie (a little palomina filly) and her health started to go down. When Trixie was 3 months old Lightening took a turn for the worse and nothing we did helped. We lost her. She may be gone but will never be forgotten!
